Drain Cleaning
Done Right.

Clogged kitchen, backed-up toilet, sewer main won't drain? We clear the immediate problem and — when a clog isn't the whole story — we run a camera to find out why it happened, so you don't call us back next month. Drain cleaning is where a lot of our lining customers start; sometimes it's a one-off, sometimes it's the first signal of something bigger.

What We Handle

Everyday drain calls in the Columbia, SC area:

  • Kitchen drains — slow sinks, standing water, garbage disposal backups. Grease and food buildup are the usual culprits.
  • Bathroom drains — sinks, tubs, and showers. Hair and soap buildup live here.
  • Toilets — from simple auger jobs to pulling the toilet to reach a deeper clog in the branch line.
  • Mainline backups — sewage in the yard, multiple fixtures failing at once, whole-house drainage failure. These are the ones you can't put off.
  • Recurring clogs — same drain, same problem, second or third time this year. Underneath a recurring clog there's always a reason.

We handle residential, commercial, and multi-unit buildings. Restaurants and property managers with recurring lines usually end up on a jetting maintenance schedule — cheaper than treating each backup individually.

Cable, Camera, or Jet?

Not every drain call needs the same tool:

  • Cable (snake) — the workhorse. Fast, affordable, effective for firm blockages. Most everyday clogs get cleared this way.
  • Camera — when a line keeps clogging back up, or when the clog was harder to clear than expected, we run a camera to see what's going on. Camera is FREE when bundled with the service call.
  • Hydro jet — when the camera shows grease, scale, or root buildup coating the pipe wall, jetting cleans the wall instead of just punching through the blockage. See our hydro jetting page for details.

Why the Camera Matters

Here's the honest version: a lot of drain-cleaning outfits cable your line, take your money, and leave. Six weeks later you're calling someone else. That happens because cabling a recurring clog doesn't fix the underlying cause — roots in the mainline, a cracked branch line, a belly where waste pools. A camera inspection at the same visit reveals whether the clog is a one-off or a symptom, and gives you the information you need to decide what to do next.

We don't upsell trenchless work off of drain calls. If the camera shows a healthy line, we say so. If it shows a real structural problem, we give you a written quote for the fix and let you decide.

Please, Not the Drano

Two minutes of unsolicited advice: chemical drain cleaners don't fix real clogs. They mostly sit on top of the blockage, and they make our job harder (and more expensive) when we do come out — we're now working around caustic chemicals in your P-trap. If a plunger doesn't clear the drain, save yourself the trip to the hardware store and call. It'll be cheaper.

Kitchen and bathroom drain clogs typically run $185–$425 depending on severity, access, and whether chemicals have been used. Mainline backups start around $415 with an accessible cleanout. Written quote every time.
Why does my drain keep clogging?
Recurring clogs almost always mean the problem is deeper than the immediate blockage — usually roots in the mainline, grease buildup on the pipe wall, a belly, or structural damage. A camera inspection is the only way to know for sure. FREE when bundled with service.
Should I try Drano before calling?
No. Chemical drain cleaners rarely fix real clogs and make our job harder and more expensive when we do come out. If a plunger doesn't clear it, call before you pour anything.
Do you offer emergency drain service?
Same-day whenever we can. Multiple drains backing up, sewage in the yard, or whole-house drainage failures get priority. Call 803-814-5544.
Cabling vs. jetting — what's the difference?
Cabling punches through firm blockages. Jetting scours the pipe wall clean with high-pressure water. Cabling for one-off clogs; jetting for grease, roots, or recurring problems.
