Home Service Area Statewide
Beyond the 40-Mile Radius

Statewide Trenchless
& CIPP Work.
Case-By-Case.

Carolina Pipe Pros is based in Columbia, SC and covers a 40-mile radius as our primary service area. For the right kind of trenchless job — larger commercial, municipal, and specialty projects — we travel further across South Carolina. This page is about when that makes sense and when it doesn't. We'll be honest either way.

Where We Are and Where We Go

Our home base is Columbia, SC. Everything within a 40-mile radius — Lexington, Irmo, Forest Acres, West Columbia, Cayce, Blythewood, Chapin, Camden, Newberry, and out to Sumter and Orangeburg — is a normal, same-day service area for us. That's covered on the service area page.

Beyond that, we take work case-by-case. South Carolina has a lot of geography and not many trenchless pipe lining specialists. If you have the right kind of job in a market that doesn't have a local CIPP contractor, it's often worth the drive for both of us. If you have a small job an hour and a half away, it usually isn't. We'll tell you honestly which category yours falls in.

What Kinds of Statewide Jobs Make Sense

  • Commercial CIPP lining — restaurants, apartment complexes, hotels, warehouses, and industrial properties. Multi-line jobs and larger runs almost always justify travel.
  • Municipal sewer main rehabilitation — cities and utility districts that need trenchless main-line work and don't have a local specialist. Bid-ready, bonded, and documented.
  • Larger residential lining projects — historic homes, unusual pipe materials, multiple runs, or estates where a single trenchless liner would replace an expensive excavation.
  • Insurance-related emergencies — sewer failures where the insurance carrier needs a specialist and the local options are limited or fully booked.
  • Real estate and commercial due diligence — pre-purchase camera inspections and lining assessments for buyers acquiring properties in areas without a local CIPP contractor.

What Doesn't Fit

We're straight about this too. A single residential drain call in Charleston, Myrtle Beach, Rock Hill, or Greenville doesn't usually pencil out — the drive time makes the cost unfair to you and the day's economics unfair to us. When you call from further than about an hour and a half, we'll ask what the job is and either book it (if it fits) or point you toward a local option (if it doesn't). No sales pressure, no coming out just to charge you a trip fee.

Travel Costs and Logistics

When we do take a statewide job, travel is factored into the written quote up front — not tacked on afterward. For larger projects the travel component is a small fraction of total cost, often more than offset by what a specialist trenchless contractor saves versus dig-and-replace. For municipal or commercial multi-day work we sometimes coordinate lodging so travel doesn't erode the schedule.

How to Know If Your Job Fits

Easiest way: call and describe it. Tell us where you are, what the property is, and what the pipe issue looks like. Two minutes on the phone tells us whether the drive makes sense. If it does, we quote it. If it doesn't, we say so — and if we know of a good local specialist we'll point you their way.
